Abstract [eng] |
Demographic ageing, increasing number of employees’ health issues due to workload, shortage of competent and qualified employees form new challenges in management of human resources in contemporary organizations. In order to attract and maintain employees organizations must assess changing realia of the society and to propose to the employee “an offer of value” that meets them. One of four principle aspects recognizes the transformation of the concept of employees’ career when the career is regarded through the prism of sustainability in assessing not only economic, but also social and environmental aspects in a long-term perspective. In this way the sustainable career allows solving the issues of management of human resources and ensures a long-term perspective of employees’ ability to be employed, remain productive and be able to combine roles of work and personal life. Two interested parties participate in the forming of career, i.e. organization and employee, however it is necessary to note the fact how much the forming of career is effected by the individual contribution of the employee. |
