Nowadays society is changing by turning into a sustainable, environmentally friendly new society, which aims to create a healthier, safer and better world, full of new knowledge, continuous improvement, responsibility, teaching and learning. That is why sustainability is becoming increasingly emphasized and discussed. Sustainability is included while creating new strategies, plans, development objectives as well as other relevant documents and rules for each activity. As sustainability is increasingly mentioned in a wide range of activities, it is more focused on in projects of different levels- from the internal decisions of small companies to European Union projects for support. As the number of projects is constantly increasing and they are becoming an important part of each activity, it is appropriate to analyse how sustainability is achieved through projects. However, while trying to assess the social sustainability of any project, several difficulties arise - it is an area that is difficult to measure because there is no official model of social sustainability assessment in scientific literature. The defined subject of the paper is the evaluation of social sustainability in the EU projects. The goal of creating a model of social sustainability assessment is set to attain in the thesis. |
