Abstract [eng] Mass Production losing it‘s advantages production companies have to react properly to these changes. Only the companies that have determined that reducing product life cycles and fragmenting demand can yield powerful advantages of these market changes. Leading companies have created volume production of great variety and individually customized goods. Increased products variety could become a big challenge for company‘s supply chain management. Significantly increased stock keeping units quantity lead to company chaos in the form of far too much inventory. There are a lot of researches on mass customization. Researchers are still analyzing mass customization implementation impact to all processes in the company. Most of researches regarding inventory management for companies going from mass production to mass customization are based on exact market segment or exact company. Not so many universal models are provided in the literature that companies could use as a framework. This paper introduces to universal inventory management model that is based on different methodologies used for mass production and mass customization. The analysis of literature and actual study of a company moving from mass production to mass customization are combined in order to create a model for inventory management optimization. This model could be used as a framework in order to handle inventory with increased stock keeping units quantity, not creating too much inventory.
