Theme relevance. The increase of company’s international competitiveness become very important in times of quick globalization processes, intensified cooperation between countries and increased mutual dependence, that entails the creation and functioning of international companies. In the rapidly changing market conditions companies’ ambition to remain competitive in the international market is becoming a major challenge. It is necessary to assess the indicators of competitiveness in order to respond appropriately to the changing business environment. The evaluation of the results is necessary for looking the ways to improve company’s activities. The assessment of company’s international competitiveness indicators should be regularly carried, because business environment is constantly changing, and decisions must be taken immediately. Was raised problematic question - based on what criteria should be evaluated sugar producing company’s international competitiveness? The final work object is international competitiveness of sugar producing companies. The final work aim is to evaluate sugar producing companies’ ability to compete in the international market and the possibilities to increase international competitiveness. The final work tasks: 1. To analyze the peculiarities of sugar producing companies’ international competitiveness. 2. To examine the evaluation methods of international competitiveness and its associated problems. 3. To evaluate international competitiveness indicators of sugar producing companies. 4. To analyze the possibilities for the increase of international competitiveness of sugar producing companies. The final work results: The evaluation of sugar producing companies’ international competitiveness was done by a comparative analysis of financial indicators, operational indicators analysis and SWOT analysis. The results of financial, operational and SWOT analyses showed up that the international competitiveness indicators of sugar producing company Nordzucker Polska Opalenica were higher compare to the indicators of companies: AB Nordic Sugar Kėdainiai and Považsky cukor a.s. in the period of 2012 -2016. It showed that Polish company Nordzucker Polska Opalenica was better able to compete in the international market than its two competitors during the analysed period. |
