Abstract [eng] The changing environment of family businesses and the emerging conflicts over the distribution of responsibilities and inheritance processes, as well as different approaches of family members to business management, highlight the importance of the family constitution as an essential tool for ensuring stability. Recently, it has been increasingly emphasized that clearly defined rules formalized in the family constitution allow not only to reduce the risk of conflicts, but also to create long-term trust between family members. In order to ensure business continuity, the family constitution also helps to harmonize the interests of different generations and formalize the processes of inheritance and responsibility. Nevertheless, the preparation of a family constitution often faces challenges, such as disagreements between family members regarding management priorities, different values and long-term goals. These challenges require consistent cooperation, clear decisions and a long-term vision so that the provisions of the family constitution are not only implemented, but also effectively applied in practice. Practical research shows that a successfully prepared family constitution helps to resolve emerging conflicts and ensures that the family business is managed efficiently, in accordance with clear rules. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of family constitution in family business.
