Abstract [eng] Constantly evolving information technologies are introducing new expectations and educational models. The digital environment is transforming working and teaching styles. Virtual teaching applications and websites for learning music theory and instruments now allow students to study music globally, at their own pace. Young people, who are technologically literate, increasingly rely on smart technologies, making education without information technologies unimaginable. In Lithuanian non formal education institutions, traditional methods still dominate music teaching. Music education content often lacks interactivity and visualization. Virtual learning tools can address the interests of the younger generation. However, finding suitable tools online is time consuming, increasing teachers' workload, and not all tools are appropriate for music classes. This search requires significant effort and technological literacy training for teachers. This scope of work explores the challenges and barriers to using virtual teaching and learning tools, and suggests ways to enhance their use in music lessons at music high school. It analyzes virtual learning tools for musical education, focusing on their application in music theory and instrumental performance skills development. To address these issues, a virtual course for art school teachers has been developed, along with suitable virtual learning tools for lessons in music theory lessons, piano, strings, wind instruments, and percussion. Participants evaluated the course as a valuable resource for enriching music education. The virtual tools diversify lesson content, facilitate music theory acquisition, improve instrumental performance skills, and support students' independent learning.
