Abstract [eng] |
The aim of the Master’s Thesis is to modernize the glass container production department, increase the glass melting furnace's capacity from 130 to 150 t of melt per day and use oil cracking catalyst waste in the glass charge. The work consists of literature review, research work, engineering part and worker safety and health assessment of the project. Reconstruction of the coloured glass production workshop of AB "Kauno stiklas" is being carried out. A new continuously operating horseshoe flame glass melting furnace with partial electric melting is being designed, as well as three new cracking catalyst waste bunkers. It is planned to produce 52 million brown coloured and 60 million moss-coloured glass bottles per year. Ratio of glass batch to broken glass for moss-coloured glass is 25:75 % and 30:70 % for brown. |
