The subject of this thesis is the use of virtual applications in English language group activities. The aim of the thesis is to improve the use of virtual learning tools in group activities by secondary school teachers, using a developed toolkit and a tool to implement the toolkit. To achieve the aim of the thesis, the following tasks are solved: to elaborate on the specifics of group learning and its application in English lessons; to review the possibilities of applying virtual learning tools in English group activities; to develop a set of virtual applications for English group activities; to create a website enabling the application of virtual applications in English group activities, according to the developed set; to investigate the application of the developed website and the applications in students' group activities in English language. The methods used in the work included literature analysis, design, written surveys and statistical data analysis techniques. The analytical part of the thesis examined group learning and its application in English language classrooms, looked at the possibilities of using virtual learning tools in group activities in English language classrooms, and developed a set of virtual applications for use in English language group activities. The project part of the thesis presents the design of the tool. The developed tool, the English Website, was tested in foreign language classes. A survey of teachers showed an increase in the use of virtual applications in group activities. The final thesis presents the study and conclusions of the developed toolkit and tool. |
