Abstract [eng] |
In today's fast-changing world, some of the areas most likely to have to adapt to change are attitudes to education, the concept of school, competence and language education. New digital competences to be developed are being included in the updating of curricula. In today's information and knowledge society, teaching/learning Lithuanian is a complex and demanding process. Virtual learning tools for teaching Lithuanian are mainly suitable for the areas of reading, reading comprehension and language cognition, but very few are suitable for teaching writing and text production, especially at the primary level (grades 5 to 10). Virtual opportunities in the Lithuanian language classroom go beyond only information retrieval or document production. Teachers of Lithuanian are faced with a lack of suitable virtual teaching/learning tools for specific areas, and the lack of clearly defined methodologies for the use of virtual tools complicates the existing choice. The specifics of teaching Lithuanian language and literature have been analysed, the content of the curriculum for Grade 7 has been updated, the potential of virtual teaching tools for teaching writing and composing skills has been explored, and a methodology for improving writing and composing skills has been developed. The methodology for the use of virtual teaching/learning tools is designed according to the areas of achievement identified in the updated curriculum (reading, reading comprehension and knowledge of literature and culture, and writing and production of texts), with activities detailed according to the content of the curriculum. The methodology presents the implementation of the activities in the widest possible variety of means. The activities are interactive, visual and appealing to students in lower grades. |
