Abstract [eng] The competence of digital literacy in the modern world is one of the most important competencies necessary for every citizen. It is particularly important for teachers, as the digital literacy of teachers and their commitment to continuous professional development directly depend on the digital literacy of their students and their ability to make effective use of information technologies in the learning process or in solving everyday problems. Teachers have an obligation to monitor and analyse the growth of their professional competences and their impact on pupils' achievement and progress. In order to purposefully improve the digital literacy of teachers, it is important to choose trainings that expand already existing knowledge and develop additional skills. To do this, teachers need to know their current level of digital literacy. Having found that the majority of teachers feel the need to improve their digital literacy and that their choice of training would be mainly determined by the topic of interest, a virtual teacher support system was designed to help teachers choose relevant training, taking into account the results of the assessment of digital literacy competences.
