This paper summarizes the legally approved and valid methods for evaluating energy efficiency measures and the techniques used in other scientific researches. The theoretical analysis is done to identify a significant potential for efficiency improvements in building heating and cooling systems. The solutions for the modernization of heating and cooling systems that provide the highest energy efficiency and economic benefits are assessed. The object is selected for the study which corresponds to efficiency increase potential by the implementation of technological alternatives. Scenarios are specified for the modernization of the object with new technological alternatives for heating and cooling, the efficiency of which is assessed in terms of technological, energy, economic and financial indicators. Sensitivity analysis on changes of discount rate, technology investments, natural gas and electricity market prices is accomplished. |
