RFID is a Radio Frequency Identification technology, which has a unique advantage in data collection. In recent years RFID have attracted a lot of interests in logistics industry. Design and implementation solutions of modern logistics management system are discussed in this master‘s thesis. Furthermore, this thesis is a part of pilot project that was conducted to test the suitability of RFID in logistics management enviroment. The task of research is to determine the major challenges faced in handling RFID event data. Three system architecture types were analyzed and the desicion was made to use mixed system architecture for the pilot project implementation. |
