Abstract [eng] Decreasing birth rate and increasing life expectancy, the state is incapable of ensuring support of pension age people in order to improve the aging population situation. Based on the World Bank recommendations, Lithuania started the pension reform in 2003, which the main intend - partial privatization of pensions and insurance of a better life for future retirees. This led to the second-tier pension companies, where cash is deposited in pension companies managed by the pension fund accounts, and where the funds are invested according to the participant's chosen investment strategy. It is very important to choose the most efficient pension fund to ensure "wealthy" old age in the future.
