Globalization, economic and social changes in the past quarter-sentury have underscored the need of organizational flexibility. Flexibility allows organizations to adapt quickly to changing roles, market demands and more poweful technology. Only those organizations which are capable of keeping up with the changes and turning them into opportunities will be able to sustain high competitive advantage and secure conditions for develpoment. However, this approach is named one of the main problems of contemporary organizations - how to maintain the balance between change and stability of the organization, what is generally understood as the employees security. |
