Abstract [eng] The problem of the statistical analysis and software of study process considered in this paper is a common problem arising in academic communities in Lithuania and foreign countries. New technologies are developing very fastly and it is very important that universities would be able to supply students with versatile knowledge and skills. Only then they would have the ability to do successful researchs and create competitive future technologies. In order to achieve this goal, universities must have study process data analysis system which results would be used to improve the quality of overall study system. In this paper, analysing different statistical methods were created six statistical models for the data analysis of study process. These models were implemented in analysis software, developed using statistical analysis system SAS, its macroprogramming tools, SAS web development environment AppDev Studio webAF and Javascript, JSP, Java Servlet and HTML technologies. Users can use the system online and such architecture is the first in Lithuania and second in the world. Developed software was applied to the data of the study process of Kaunas University of Technology, which was collected in 2009 and 2010. The results showed that using developed tool it is possible to perform quick and high quality statistical analysis and make appropriate conclusions and proposals how the quality of study process should be improved. There is an overview of statistical models and software tools commonly used for this problem at the beginning of this paper. Other sections describe the structure of the databases of Kaunas University of Technology and proposed statistical models. There is also a description of developed software and explanation how to use it properly. At the end of this paper we tell the opinion about the results, generated by software tool, and provide recommendations for further statistical models and software improvement.
