Web portals are nowadays very popular. Customization, personalization, content management are the key features of portals. Though there are many specialized tools and projects for creating portals and information systems, they all have one important weakness: structure of portal is static and can only be changed at programming or design stages. That is the main problem because it costs extra time and money. The analysis of popular portals and content management systems proved that none of them have solution of varying structure. Therefore the main goal of this project is to design model of varying structure Web information system, which would enable to change structure of portal without programming and designing tools and skills. The model of varying structure internet information system was described and adopted for implementing prototype of publications portal for Department of Information Systems. |
