In paper a review of key frame and shot boundary detection methods is given. A method for comparing images using hue histograms and adopting it for comparing video frames is analyzed. A modification of the method is proposed in the paper. The method focuses on key frame extraction in such video sequences where routes of pedestrians and cars are recorded. The methods are implemented and tested using the framework of open source program "Shotdetect" by changing the video analysis methods by the proposed methods. |
