Abstract [eng] With the rapid ageing of the population and the increase in the incidence of chronic diseases, the healthcare system faces many challenges, which is why interprofessional collaboration is being promoted to provide quality and patient-centered healthcare. Interprofessional collaboration is a joint effort of health professionals to ensure quality healthcare for patients. In order to achieve successful interprofessional collaboration, it is important to single out the factors that can promote and hinder interprofessional collaboration. The topic of collaboration is widely studied by many scientists. The concept of collaboration was studied by Camarihna-Matos and Afsarmanesh (2008), Lewis (2006), Raišienė (2005), etc. Interprofessional collaboration was explored by D'Amour et al. (2008), Morley and Cashell (2017). Although the topic of collaboration between research in medical institutions has been carried out in Lithuania, there is no research on the factors that lead to interprofessional collaboration between the members of the family doctor's team, consisting of a family doctor, a nurse, and a medical registrar. Therefore, the final project formulates the research problem: what factors lead to successful interprofessional collaboration in delivery of personal health care services at Public institution X polyclinic? The object of the research is the factors that lead to interprofessional collaboration in the Public institution X polyclinic. The aim of the project is to identify the factors that lead to interprofessional collaboration in delivery of personal health care services at Public institution X polyclinic. Objectives of the project: 1. to analyze the concept of interprofessional collaboration in the health care system and the factors that lead to this collaboration. 2. to analyze the strategic provisions, legal regulation and good practices for the promotion of interprofessional collaboration in the health care system. 3. to study the factors that promote and disturb interprofessional collaboration in delivery of personal health care services at Public institution X polyclinic. The following research methods were applied during the research: analysis of scientific literature and legal documents, quantitative research – questionnaire survey. The sample of the study was targeted, consisting of family doctors, nurses and registrars who work together in a formed team. A total of 151 duly completed questionnaires were received. The following methods of data analysis were used in the work: descriptive statistics, the methods of Mann-Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis and the correlation of Spearman. The analysis of the research data showed that interprofessional collaboration in the health care system is conditioned by systemic (political), organizational and interpersonal factors. In Lithuania, interprofessional collaboration is promoted in strategic documents and programs. The development and redistribution of functions of the family doctor's team based on interprofessional collaboration is one of the ways to improve the quality of health care services. The results of the conducted study showed that factors that strengthen interprofessional collaboration are more manifested in the institution than disruptive ones. The most common factors that strengthen interprofessional collaboration are respectful relationships, trust in each other, etc. As for the factors that disrupt interprofessional collaboration, it can be said that respondents do not have a strong position and are not sure of the manifestation of these factors in the Public institution X polyclinic. The most common factors that disrupt interprofessional collaboration are the unclear legal regulation of the functions and responsibilities of doctors, nurses and registrars in collaboration, the lack of involvement of the institution's management and the promotion of interprofessional collaboration, etc. These results are useful for the institution being studied, as they will help to ensure further successful interprofessional collaboration. The project consists of three sections. The first chapter analyzes the concept, benefits, and determinants of interprofessional collaboration. The second chapter examines the strategic documents and legislation governing interprofessional collaboration and the good practices of foreign countries in the area under consideration. The third chapter presents the research methodology and the analysis of the data of the empirical study conducted in the public institution X polyclinic. The final project concludes with conclusions and recommendations.
