Abstract [eng] Rates play very important roles in the process of education. It is the motivation for learning. Teachers spend a lot of time on rating. Students face other problems. Elementary school students can‘t concentrate on one task, they lack attention, because they get tired quickly. Seven year olds understand the world through play. Teachers in the school have to solve not an easy task – how to interest the child in learning. To catch student’s attention, teachers change their activities, they make game situations, they use attractive computer technologies. The investigation from the Department of Statistic proves that there is an ability to use computers at schools. But there is a lack of computer programs in Lithuanian for elementary school students. It was proved by online survey that there was a problem discovered – there is lack of computer programs to teach Lithuanian language at first grade. The purpose of the work is to develop a computer program and tools to teach Lithuanian language at first grade and make it available online. I used a variety of articles: „Primary and basic education programs and standards“ and analyzed works of Arends (1998), Bajerčius (1994), Elijio (2006), Žandaris (2009), Matulienė (2002), Miniurova (2011). The hardest part while teaching first graders Lithuanian language is to evaluate kids reading progress. It is needed to make teaching personalized and keep parents informed. After reading ability tests were developed it was examined if it is helpful for teachers and it turned out it was helpful and it helped to save time; therefore, it is advised to use it. Teachers will be able to adjust the test to their needs while using visual instruction.
