Abstract [eng] |
Currently manually performed statistical analysis about patrol work time and work results reduce reliability and accuracy of such statistics. This influences false division activity planning and poor work results. A resolution had to be found on how the amount of statistical errors could be reduced to the minimum using information technologies. Analysis of analogous systems showed that currently there is no any information system in Lithuania performing such task, thus it was decided to create an information system able perform necessary calculations. According to the methods of creation of information systems, division activity process and flow of its information were analyzed to determine the needs of users and system requirements. An objectively orientated design method was chosen for the design of information system architecture using UML (Unified Modeling Language). System architecture was created based on RUP (Rational Unified Process) recommendations. The project was realized in MS SQL Server environment. The system was installed in the client‘s work place. The test of information system and an experiment carried out showed that the system was realized according to the quality requirement standards; functions defined in specification were realized in the system. This system may be applied in public police divisions, customs mobile divisions, border divisions and partially in private security divisions. |
