The work, described in this document, consists out of three main parts. The first part is analysis where we analyze the basic principles of a “Kinect” based user interface, get a better understanding of the technology itself, to get a better feel of its possibilities. An additional analysis is provided of existing products. The second part is all about the implementation. This part describes various aspects of the project: we define the goal of the project, including various architectural means to achieve it. These means are described by using UML language models, including static, dynamic views. The last part describes the research that was done during this project. Various researches and experiments were done in order to create an algorithm that can detect gestures with high precision. During the research phase we try to determine the problems that prevent a gesture to be recognized and propose solutions to make it better. Additionally a research was done with the created software itself, in order to determine its quality and find ways to increase it. |
