Abstract [eng] |
Although the COVID-19 pandemic caused unprecedented economic shocks around the world, the impact of this economic dysfunction in the European Union was less than anticipated. One of the key reasons for this was the EU’s immediate economic stabilization policy (ESP) response, which provided good support to businesses and workers with short-term work schemes, as well as firms with substantial liquidity support. Yet none of the 27 member states of the European Union achieved the same levels of economic growth and stability. |
