| Abstract [eng] |
This paper reviews the impact of the energy sector on climate change. After analysing the climate change mitigation measures and their classification methods, the classification was chosen by dividing the measures into three areas: increasing the amount of renewable energy resources, increasing efficiency in the energy sector and integrating electric vehicles. After evaluating the cost estimation methodologies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the marginal abatement cost curve method was chosen for this research. The marginal abatement costs of the selected climate change mitigation measures are calculated and their evaluation is presented. According to the obtained results, the marginal abatement cost curve was drawn up and a sensitivity analysis of the measures was carried out. |
