Abstract [eng] Democracy faces various challenges and attempts to disrupt or destroy this form of governance. Because of that, it is very important to ensure safe and inviolable elections of the President or other government. With the development of technology and with intention to reduce the inconvenience of traveling to the intended polling places to cast the vote, the aim is to move to electronic voting systems, which could be used to express one’s will in electing candidates for the relevant management positions. Since elections are very delicate topic, electronic voting systems must ensure the right to secret voting and meet the requirements and principles of traditional voting. I. e. must ensure universal suffrage, equal suffrage, direct and free elections, secret ballot and transparent election mechanism. In order not only to ensure the standard requirements, but also to ensure the anonymity of voters, transparency and integrity of votes, it is proposed to create an electronic voting system based on blockchain technology. The proposed solution does not use any existing frameworks, nor does it use well-known standard blockchain structure (where n transactions are stored in one block). On the contrary, the solution proposes a blockchain structure where each voter’s vote would be stored in a separate block, where the election results would be recalculated and simultaneously recorded at the current moment. A blockchain network would be a distributed, private network. The voter’s cast block does not contain direct data about the voter. In the block, only the hash value calculated from the voter’s personal data is stored, thus ensuring the possibility, if the voter wishes, to display how and where his vote was recorded, whether the vote was saved correctly and unaltered. In order to assess whether the solution meets the basic requirements, the vision and architecture of the proposed solution were described. Additionally the idea of how voters could be registered in the system, making sure that they are really the person they claim to be, was described. A prototype of the system was created, quantitative and qualitative studies were carried out in order to evaluate the safety, efficiency and compliance of the proposed solution with the requirements.
