Abstract [eng] |
The relevance of this work includes construction industry and its environmental impact assessment. Assessment of the prevailing industry issues, use of resources, waste production, inefficient work processes and possible options to solve these problems. Construction industry in Lithuania is significant by its economic, social and environmental value. Construction industry is faced with the need to increase productivity, resource efficiency, while reducing operating costs, time and material costs as well as environmental pollution. In order to reach these goals it is proposed to use digital design methods to apply in all phases of the building lifecycle. To install the principles of digital construction Lithuania the changes are needed in building design, construction, operation processes management and construction planning. The main objective is the digital building design process. Main goal is to investigate design and construction management process based on digital methods and identify the optimal option based on environmental and economic criteria. This work suggests an integrated system which connects BIM, lifecycle and energy analysis tools with sustainable building certification systems. The system could be used to identify varying energy changes, building certification requirements and used resources and building systems effect to the environment. The main goal of the research is to build the perfect building in terms of consumed resources, energy efficiency while providing the least environmental impact and matching all the sustainable building criteria. The suggested BIM system could be the foundation of further research. The construction industry member survey took place in order to identify the industry's knowledge of BIM system, its usage and possible obstacles stopping the development and the factors that would encourage the use of BIM methods. The research targeted putting BIM model into practice, the evaluation of provided benefits and future perspective. The analysis of research results allowed us to provide the recommended tools to ensure an effective BIM method appliance and ensure the digital design development in Lithuania. |
