Abstract [eng] Scientific literature emphasizes the importance of corporate investments for corporate development, value creation, gross domestic product, and national economic growth. Corporate investments are determined not only by internal company factors, but also by changes in the external environment. The authors, while analyzing the impact of periods of financial crises and economic recession on corporate investments, emphasize that considering the importance of corporate investment decision-making for the country's economy, it is important to determine the factors that determine corporate investments and their efficiency in periods of financial crises and economic recession. Analyzing the scientific literature and statistical data, the different effects of periods of financial crises and economic recession on the investments of companies of different economic levels are revealed. The scientific literature presents various factors of the internal and external environment of companies that influence the investments of companies. Considering the differences between the investment decisions of companies in the manufacturing and service sectors, it is important to determine whether the factors affecting the investments of companies in these sectors are equally significant in countries of different economic levels. The authors point out that further research could be focused on the factors determining corporate investments and their efficiency in periods of financial crisis and economic recession in companies of different sectors.
