Abstract [eng] |
About 500000 tons of sewage sludge is accumulated in Lithuania every year. About 2200 tons of sludge is comprised in a cleaning room of sewage of Jurbarkas city. The most part of sewage is used to fertilize forests. The aim of the research is to evaluate the amount of sewage sludge in Jurbarkas city, analyse possible ways of usage of sewage sludge and propose possible alternatives of usage of sewage sludge for a cleaning room of sewage of Jurbarkas city. The methodology of approach of existence cycle, CCaLC and JongLim is chosen in order to carry out the research. The threat of management pollution of sewage sludge is identified during the analysis of an environmental protection in the company. Possible scenarios of sludge processing are named during the approach of existence cycle and GPGB. Evaluation of usage possibilities of sludge is carried out in this thesis. Three scenarios of management and five indicators of environmental protection are chosen in order to identify evaluation. The indicators are chosen by the approach of existence cycle. These indicators are potential of global warming, acidification of soil, decay of ozone, eutrophication and toxicity to human being. Three innovations are proposed after the analysis of received research results. These innovations are a closed composting of sludge with others BSA, a direct composting of sludge with BSA and an anaerobic fallow together with biodegradable waste. Advantages and disadvantages are identified during the evaluation of scenarios impact to environment in Ecoinvent and CCaLC databases. The received results showed that two innovations of sludge can be chosen regarding to the approach of environmental protection in the company. These innovations are a direct composting or anaerobic fallow. Findings of 2009-2015 years of sewage cleaning systems (NVĮ) of UAB Jurbarko vandenys are used in order to investigate the possibilities. |
