This masters thesis analyses low voltage network power quality and its parameters in an industrial company. Power quality parameters, such as voltage sags, unbalance, fluctuations and harmonics are discussed and analyzed. Using the Janitza UMG60 power quality analyzer, measurements were taken in different locations of companies power network. Measurement results were analyzed and evaluated. When analyzing industrial companies power network, light flickering of MH lamps occurred. A MatLAB Simulink model was introduced in order to evaluate the voltage unbalance and harmonics of voltage and current in companies lighting system. The main goal of this thesis is to analyse power quality in an industrial company and evaluate the effects of metal halide luminaires for power quality. |
