Abstract [eng] |
The main purpose of this master thesis is to figure out possible uses for a heat pump in industry processes and bio-fuel consuming boiler rooms and to calculate the efficiency of such implementations. This work also covers the principals of the boiler room itself, the processes and equipment used in heat generation and technical parameters of these aspects. Multiple types of heat pumps used in such technological processes were taken into consideration. The master thesis analyzes a wide range of compression-based heat pump integration scenarios. Analysis of two-staged cycles was carried out to determine the efficiency of such cycle types. The results generated by the analysis were analyzed to provide insights about possible efficiency of the covered heat-pumps. A conclusion was drawn that a successful integration of a heat-pump in the work cycles of a bio-fuel based boiler rooms would increase the efficiency of heat generation process. In addition to that, an economical calculation was carried out to analyse various modes of operation of boiler rooms and the power they consume while in operation. |
