Abstract [eng] |
Natural and synthetic N-substituted amino acids and their derivatives are often characterized by antimicrobial and plant growth stimulating effects. The aim of this work was to synthesize new potentially biologically active N,N-disubstituted β-amino acids bearing aromatic thiazole fragments in their structure and investigate their properties. N-(1-Naphthyl)-N-thiocarbamoyl-β-alanine was synthesized and its reactions with monochloroacetic acid, oxalic acid dichloride and α-haloketones were investigated. Some of the synthesized compounds were screened for antibacterial activity against Rhizobium radiobacter and Xanthomonas campestris to reveal that functionalized oxathiazole and thiazole derivatives exhibit antibacterial activity. |
