In this thesis, I analyze the relation between internet media and politics. Historical context of the Internet evolution is used as a means to understand the sources of its influence. The analysis of the outcomes of social movements formation on digital space, the possibilities to expand democracy, attempts of government to control over information flow on the Internet, and its conflict with opposing forces is used for better understanding of politics power over the Internet. Influence of networked society on national internal and external policy, and new forms of politics is also reviewed. The tight bond between internet media and politics is found in research of politics influence on internet and internet impact on politics. |
