The Master‘s thesis contains of the examination of two plants - curlycup gumweed (Grindelia squarrosa) and buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum). The paper analyzed literature and scientific articles, which includes studies using curlycup gumweed and buckwheat plants. The chemical composition and the most important compounds of plants are reviewed. Extracts were made few ways – extraction with hot water, accelerated solvent extraction and Soxhlet extraction with different polarity extrahents. The biggest yield showed curlycup gumweed methanol accelerated solvent extract. The chemical compositions of both plants extracts were analyzed. |
