In this Master’s project “Implementation of Law against Domestic Violence in Lithuania: Case of Plunge District Municipality” there is an overview of “Protection against Domestic Violence Law” implementation aspects. The topics novelty is the fact that for solving domestic violence problems in Lithuania there is an approved Strategy of National Violence against Women Reduction, adopted Law against Domestic Violence, which came into force on 15th December, 2015. However, the practice of this law is still developing. In 2013 and 2015 changes were made in the Criminal Code of Lithuanian Republic Articles, which are related to domestic violence. The relevance of the project. There are some stereotypes in the society that domestic violence is a private matter of the family. There was no research about domestic violence in Plunge district that is the reason why this project is so important as it will help to look objectively at the situation of domestic violence in Plunge district. |
