Abstract [eng] |
Two-phase coolants application for the cooling purposes is applied widely because of the high heat transfer rate and due to the economy of the energy and material resources. Statically stable foam as a two-phase coolant can be used successfully for the cooling of the tube bundles or flat surfaces. This work presents the results of the investigation of the cooling process of the flat surface inclined by the angle of 30o, 45o and 60o. As a starting point have been used the experimental results, obtained during the investigation of the cooling process of the flat surface, which inclination angle was equal to 45o. During the recent investigation there were determined: void fraction distribution along the surface; void fraction changes in the under layer; thickness of the film of the drained liquid; heat transfer coefficient. Results of the calculation were compared with the experimental data. There was provided guidance for the future research. |
