Abstract [eng] This thesis analyzes a possibility to reduce return district heating water temperature, by using low temperature district heating or changing the parameters of substation unit controllers. Low temperature district heating and it’s principle of operation for the energy-efficient and older construction buildings analyzed in this work. In addition, the problems with this kind of district heating defined and solutions presented. In order to reduce returning DH water temperature in one of Lithuania’s substation units, the measurements of the water supply, return and circulation temperatures were made, changing the speed of circulation pump, from the minimum to maximum. Different supply possibilities of a low temperature district heating, trying to minimize temperature of a heat carrier presented in this work. The result of heat carrier temperature minimizing is increased effectiveness of an condensing economizers in the heat generation places where biofuel is used.
