| Abstract [eng] |
This study is looking at the principles of operation of relay protection and the influence of digital technologies. The main object of this study is the remote protection, which has become the main transmission line protection against fault. The theoretical part of this paper examines the structure of digital relay and its operation under various conditions such as the failure of the electrical system also atypical operating modes and their induction causes. It also presents the practical application of the equation used for calculations. After applying the theoretical knowledge and using Matlab program the remote protection model has been developed. With the help of this model various transients impact on the operation of the remote protection was examined. It tested the current and voltage changes impact on protection. Conclusion of this paper was formed with the results obtained. |
