Abstract [eng] In this final master‘s degree research project is described and simulated ground fault protection for 10 kV distribution network with ungrounded neutral and resonance grounded neutral. In theoretical part is description of ungrounded neutral network‘s reaction to single line to ground fault and also main drawbacks of such network in comparison to network with resonance grounded neutral. It also describes electrotechnical equipment needed to compensate networks capacitive current that start flowing in the event of single line to ground fault, main aspects of such equipment and how such network reacts to ground faults. In this paper is also main principles of ground fault protection in both ungrounded neutral network and resonance grounded neutral network. In the research part of this paper is a model created for both such networks. It was researched what kind of transient process happens in ungrounded neutral network during a ground fault and how it changes in resonance grounded neutral network if parameters of main network elements remains the same. Research results show how zero sequence parameters changed depending on network neutral point grounding method. In accordance to the results it is possible to configure relay protection so it could always identify the line at fault.
