Abstract [eng] The aim of this work was to investigate ionizing radiation-induced dose rate and bystander effects to Chinese hamster ovary cells survival. Orthovoltage X-ray treatment unit Gulmay D3225 was used initiate bystander effect and media transfer assay method was applied. Applying media transfer assay method irradiated cell growth media was transferred to non-irradiated cells. Dose rate effect in irradiated cells was investigated using linear accelerator Varian Clinac DMX. Three different dose rates: 1 Gy/min, 2 Gy/min and 3 Gy/min were applied. The influence of both effects on irradiated cells was investigated using clonogenic assay. Clonogenic assay is the method used to determine cell reproductive death after irradiation. Method is based on calculation of grown cell colonies after irradiation.
