Abstract [eng] |
This work is focused on the application of nonlinear acoustics methods for materials physical properties investigation. An overview of literature is provided, to familiarize the reader with the science of nonlinear acoustics, the possibilities that it opens up and current state of research work in this field. Additionally, the capabilities of nonlinear acoustics methods is demonstrated by means of experimental data analysis. The nonlinear noncolinear wave mixing method is found to be superior to the ordinary linear measurement techniques when measuring the aging of polymethylmethacrylate polymer. |
