Abstract [eng] Finite element method was used to analyze strength and rigidity of prestressed concrete frame box-girder viaduct built in 1972 over the road A1 at Vėžaičiai junction. Two fininite element models were used for analysis: beam and shell. Calculations involved construction and exploitation stages, linear and nonlinear analysis methods, creep and shrinkage deformations of concrete. Using linear analysis for beam and shell models stress state of girder and deformation change in each construction stage was calculated. Both models showed same change in deflection of girder during construction stages, but calculated absolute deflection was smaller than stated in the viaduct design. Results achieved during nonlinear analysis differ only in exploitation stages. According to the viaduct inspection results from literature the decrease of reinforcement cross section was modeled, but this didn’t produced cracking of girder. Impact of load models AK11 and LM1 was checked separately.
