Abstract [eng] The rapid development of management science has strengthened the point of view that the organizational culture determines the success of the organization. Hence it becomes crucial to study the culture of the organization, to nurture it and to develop in the right direction. In order to improve the efficiency of the organization, some Lithuanian companies have already employed independent experts to assess the impact of organizational culture on the processes within the organization. Organizational culture is becoming an important research subject. This study was carried out in one the Kaunas city gymnasiums. The main goal of this study is to determine the impact of organizational culture on employee motivation in N gymnasium. The objectives are as follows: to explore the correlation between organizational culture and employee motivation, to justify the methodology of the research and to specify the features of the impact of organizational culture on employee motivation in N gymnasium. The main object of the research is the correlation between organizational culture and employee motivation. The subject of research is the variables of the organizational culture. The main methods applied in the study are analysis of scientific literature, semi-structured interview and content analysis. The theoretical part of this study defines the concepts of organizational culture and motivational expression. In this part, core literature on organizational culture and contemporary theories on motivation are discussed. The main components of the organizational culture and motivation are revealed and the correlation between them is explained. In the methodological part of the study, the logic of the research is explained and justified, a unique qualitative and quantitative research instrument is constructed. The research of the impact of the organizational culture on the employee motivation is based on the correlation of these two phenomena. The third section is a qualitative and quantitative content analysis of the survey data. Summarizing the results of the investigation, it can be suggested that in this organization the tangible symbols have a significant impact on employee motivation. They play an important role when it comes to the employees’ sense of achievement, recognition and respect. Also, the study found out that group norms and standards influence the individuals’ sense of security. However, the sense of insecurity prevails in this organization because of the behavioral norms. The network of cultural relationships meets the employees’ need of leadership and provides them with personal benefits such as emotional support. The dominant values of the organization are parents and students; the academic results bring about the sense of unfairness. One of the elements of the organizational culture – the attitude towards the clients – makes a huge influence on the employee motivation. The philosophy of the organization provides excellent conditions to fulfill the need of recognition. Leaders and the style of leadership in the organization have a direct impact on employees’ sense of recognition and sense of justice, ensuring personal growth. Stories and rituals in this organization have a direct impact on employee motivation in connection with a sense of security. The study revealed that the ceremonies have a significant impact concerning individuals' need of recognition, self-expression and the sense of achievement.
