Abstract [eng] |
The purpose of the final thesis theme is to assess the banks’ credit risk within the macro-economic context. The Lithuanian banking system is dominated by the Scandinavian banks. They were severely affected by the crisis of the year 2009, and therefore, their business models have been significantly changed. Banks became safer, more reliable, and able to meet all prudential requirements, however, they avoid taking risks. The problem is relevant, because banks are looking for possibilities to reduce the losses related to credit risk and to the changes in the economic environment. |
