Lean thinking is all about waste identification and elimination from the system. The purpose of this study is to explore Lean implementation in service sector, especially in wholesale and retail of construction products. Main focus is put on Lean tools and techniques, critical success factors and challenges of Lean implementation. The research design is a case study, which follows these data collection methods: semstructured interviews, observations and documents analysis.Based on intervies, current process was studied and most common Lean tools were recommended.The findings of the reserach validate that Lean applicability in trade company is achievable, but before that some barriers and challenges should be avoided. Management involvement and dedication, effective communication and process standartization is crucial for successful implementation. After this is done, process optimization could take place, which would lead to shorter and simplier client‘s journey in the shop. |
