Small and medium-sized enterprises is very important for the country's economic development because they increase employment, promote the country's economic growth, creates competition to the large companies. Therefore, it is essential for SMEs to operate effectively and to ensure their business continuity. To achieve this, business managers can use performance measurement methodology, because performance measurement provides the planing and control functions, can ensure an efficient use of company resources and provide information for decision making. However, methods of performance measurement can not be moved directly to SMEs and their adaptation is necessary according to the characteristics of SMEs. |
