Abstract [eng] |
Recently more and more structures in Lithuania and other countries are being built of monolithic concrete without additional surface decoration. Surfaces of monolithic concrete must be in very good condition: without pores, smooth, should have the aesthetically appearance as well as various compositions: wood, masonry and more. The problem of concreting without the additional decoration exists not only in Lithuania but in other countries as well. The common problems appear: unacceptable constitution of concrete compounds; bad concreting technology (concreting in forms); bad concrete vibration and other. This problem is very relevant because many companies are producing and offering various compounds to decorate the surfaces of raw concrete. In addition, at the moment there are no rules in the European standards to regulate the quality of concrete surface. In order to achieve success in concreting without the additional decoration, during the PhD research it was necessary to find suitable concrete mixture compositions as well as to obtain certain rheological and technological properties of concrete mixture, and in addition, to consider about suitable concrete pouring and vibrating technologies. Based on dissertation findings, the research method which would assure certain concrete surface quality was proposed. Also quality parameters of concrete surfaces were developed and investigated. A subjective method for concrete surface quality evaluation was presented. |
