Abstract [eng] Human development in recent decades has led to increasing climate change and more frequent natural disasters, as well as wars and political and socio-economic instability. Making his actions, man has contributed to the negative impact on the environment, endangering future generations and the survival of Earth. Therefore, in order to reduce these negative effects, it becomes increasingly important for the organizations to act in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. At the same time, organizations need to ensure the sustainable management of human resources, because it is the staff of organizations who ensure that the principles of sustainability are accepted and adhered to. Employee engagement, which is essential for sustainable development, implies the need to use a comprehensive set of tools within a widely perceived remuneration system, which, in itself, influences employee behavior to play a key role in shaping the organization’s sustainable development goals.
