A human middle ear consists of the eardrum and three hearing ossicles which are linked by each other. Injuries to the middle ear may cause hearing loss or impairment. The hearing loss are usually treated surgically using middle ear prostheses. Middle ear prostheses restores the hearing mechanism. In order to perform surgical operations, it is necessary to clarify the properties and dynamic behavior of the middle ear. |
