Abstract [eng] Various factors influence the success of distance education. One of these factors is student satisfaction with distance education, so the authors focused on distance education to analyse the negative impacts on young people's skills. The research was conducted among 202 students, random sampling method was used in the study. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the research data. As a result of the research, it was found that the school system in Slovakia was not sufficiently prepared for distance learning. The quality of distance education in Slovakia has not reached the same level as the face-to-face form of education. Students see disadvantages in low social contact, communication skills, but see an advantage in the flexibility of education.
