The need for environmental policy was created because of problems caused by human impact upon environment. Environmental policy is an important part of social policy because of aspiration for sustainable development goals, human needs and rights. The main aim of this Master thesis is to analyse subjective evaluations of environmental policy and to compare them with environmental policy macro indicators. The thesis addresses the following issues: how Lithuanian people are evaluating the environmental policy in certain time period and how these evaluations are related to objective environmental policy macro indicators? Consequently, empirical research of this project has been done by analysing representative public opinion surveys from International Social Survey Program “Social Policy“(I, II, III, IV) researches conducted in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. Meanwhile environmental policy macro indicators that are used for comparison with subjective evaluations are collected from different databases like: Environmental Performance Index, Human Development Index, World Bank, etc. |
