Tourism takes a special place in a context of sustainable development. It creates a growth of gross domestic product causing relatively little negative impact on the environment, but for this purpose it is necessary properly to plan and carry out tourism activities. There can be set out the main sustainable tourism development principles or approach applying in business affecting issues: seasonality, insufficient investment in sustainable tourism, lack of information, knowledge about the essence of sustainable tourism principles and a lack of local politics. The theoretical analysis of sustainable rural tourism development was found that rural tourism is a type of sustainable tourism, characterized by fostering the preservation of nature, local culture and the emphasis placed on biological diversity dominance. It is important that tourism goals are related with quality development, cultural, wellness, rural tourism infrastructure and services development, human resources development, as well as cultural preservation and proper use of natural resources. Revealing sustainable rural tourism development opportunities and challenges in terms of population were determined the greatest interference to the sustainable rural tourism development – the lack of information and public indifference. For greater sustainable rural tourism development is important dissemination of information, promotion of State Department of Tourism projects (improvement of rural infrastructure), the state funding. |
